I've been drooling over Iron Heart wallets for quite sometime. I wear a standard-sized tan Coach leather wallet in my jeans rear pocket (yes, like a man does – so sue me -- you guys have probably picked up already that I'm no femme, though I hope I don't look like a man either, because I definitely don't want that -- I'm more of a tomboy).  I've had this Coach wallet for about 6 years and it still looks great -- it's aged well.  Shubha doesn't do purses (or dresses either). I carry all my shit in a backpack. But, how does one wear THIS wallet ? It seems like it would look weird in a rear jeans pocket, not to mention if worn in the rear pocket, it would be an easy target for pick-pocket-ers. Is this a wallet you carry in your backpack, your jacket, or what ? If so, then you wouldn't get the nice "wallet wear" on the rear end pocket of your Iron Heart jeans. I've noticed in all my Iron Heart jeans (even the non-selvedge variety like the Black Cyclist) -- the outline of my wallet is showing nicely in my jeans back pocket -- which I love.

I just read Tripleterror's – Giles, if I ever visit Gosport -- which will probably be like, never -- I'll visit you at your home too !! I don't see myself attending the worldwide Iron Heart party, unless it takes place in San Francisco.

I have the medium wallet & it wears great in the back pocket.  I have a wallet chain attached that I modified from another brand -still saving up for that 1000+ sterling silver iron heart wallet chain  ;)- might get it by this summer if I don't see any new products up soon. so I guess that chain deters would be thieves.

oh on a side note the wallet is really thick so it's almost like sitting on a booster chair & it gives the impression that I a bit of junk in the trunk

on a side note, Giles when are we getting a preview of the spring/summer 2010 items?????
I am hearing news of short sleeves & some lids 😘

Don't want to give too much away until I am sure of delivery schedules.  But in brief, a load of new western flannels, a few more mini-herringbone westerns, a heavy chambray work shirt, a 21oz hat, denim herringbone logger pants, some short sleeves.  That do for starters?

I am sure we can oblige - before, after or during one of the many brewery tours  cultural visits I have lined up?

Have fun, guys. It's the yeast cultural tours that make beer so interesting. 😉 And I trust you, gentlemen, to not embarrass yourselves.

Haraki has just made me the following.  It is black shell cordovan and utilises animal tendon construction.

This will be available soon, as a normal retail item in natural calf.

                            What do you think?

pretty nice..I personally don't need a big coin compartment - but the amount of card slips seems right***

It changed from Mew to New when I realised I was a complete dork and thought I better correct it.

I think that the natural calf one will be fab.  I did ask that the prototype above be natural calf, and hey, I got black cordovan (Scarlett and Bill, all is forgiven).  Anyway, I love it so it will be in a hip pocket near me very soon.  In light of Beatles comments above re: coin compartment, what is the general consensus?

Giles, The coin pocket looks cool although I am a bit wary of its functionality. I am wondering what the thought was behind this type of construction. But overall, the wallet looks great though. A wonderful option for those of us who do not use wallet chains!

Dunno yet.  Less than the current mid size cordovans but likely more than Red Moon, Skull, TFH et al.  G
