Fit Advice

I’m jonesing for a new jacket this season and I could use the forums collective brain power (IH staff please chime in as well) for assistance ….
I’m considering the following options:

IHJ 168: https://ironheart.co.uk/collections/fall-winter-2026-collection/products/ihj-168-blkFor context I owned the IHM27 (M65) a while back but let it go … for some reason it didn’t quite fit right over layers, but I always loved the jacket so maybe this years dimensions would work out …).
I plan to wear this as a 3-4 season jacket mainly over thermals, heavy weight long sleeves, sometimes UHFs.
I really like the look of the IHM51 but I’m not sure I love the pigment dye and lack of zipper. Otherwise I think this would be the winner due to its larger silhouette and collar aesthetic. It certainly is a great looking jacket to my eye.
The IHM 54 is well … iconic, but the last time around I found it sort of tight (pulling ) in the chest area with layers, even though by the size chart it should’ve been more than enough for me …
The IHJ168 looks great as well (completely different aesthetic) and I can see how it might be the most comfortable one to layer with. I can see how it will slip on and off with ease due to the lining and generous cut. The only thing that gives me pause are the knitted cuffs (I’m a watch guy).
So there’s the conundrum. Any advice it greatly appreciated, and no “buy all 3” isn’t an option

If I had to chose, i'd pick the IHJ 168 without hesitation

I have had a bunch of M65s incl IH and love them; my guess is if you didnt like last time you won't love this time.
The fabric on the 51 is so nice; I think it will fade beautifully. I would get that.
The 51 is a less common shape; everyone does a m65 and coach jackets are 10 a penny.
On the other hand the 51 looks super military - perhaps not as versatile as the coach
