        Brought a couple new house plants (or outdoors in pots during summer) home from my Seattle visit

        These were grown from trimmings of a 30-40 year old jade plant

          Joshua Tree’s and other more tender stuff back in the greenhouse until April. Cold and wet North West England weather sucks.

                  Very strong winds over the last days are bringing down most of this year’s yet unripe mango fruit. Guaranteeing local scarcity come November-December when fully ripe.

                    One of the commonest and hardier local orchids around here, Jitabay is the indigenous name (Cyrtopodium punctatum).
                    This one is at my brother’s house. Puts out massive floral bursts. Always a joy to see at full bloom.

                      This Cattleya nobilior orchid has much larger individual flowers than the previous Jitabay. Also a locally common species.
