Really keen to see this denim in person. My only concern because I am assuming its the same yarn as 21oz but woven tighter to get the heavy ounce? Which will make the fabric more ridged and boardy causing really sharp creases. Ridged+sharp ceases = high chance of premature worn edges creating hole/rips.

Only time will tell…...

I agree to a certain extent Jimmy, but the stuff is so thick, that will help with the premature wear…..

Same denim, same cut, different patch & pocket arcs.  Maybe a few other unique details, too.  They're for the 25th anniversary of VMC, the retailer in Zurich, so Giles hasn't given too many details, so as not to spoil the surprise when they're finally unveiled.

So do you think they would stretch a inch if they had to? I'm wondering if a 34 will stretch to 35.

seriously , I am pretty tough , but I wouldn ´t recommend downsizing. the denim is super tightly woven , unless any other I´ve seen

The VMC batch is leaving the factory tomorrow to g up t Hachioji for QC, not sure on the timings of the XHS versions atm, just need to make sure VMC get their's before the party…..G

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, and I couldn't find it anywhere in this thread, but will these have lined back pockets for us knife carriers?

Also, any chance the Beatle Buster ever sees a release in this denim? It seems that we have a very slim cut (666) and a pretty loose cut (634), but nothing in between in terms of fit for this material.

No they wont, result would be too bulky and anyway the Vulcan is being released for knife carriers.

Makes sense. I'd imagine that 25 oz. denim would take a while to wear through anyway.
