I swear my waist hasn’t grown, but my 21oz jeans are getting a little snug. Before trying some of the methods above and risking a button pop, I’m trying a waistband soak and wearing them damp while I cut out some stumps in the yard. I do feel like I’m still risking a button, but anything to keep rock in the 21s.
Something great about a button fly tho, is i could always just leave the top undone and cover with my belt I guess.

So my wet-waist-and-wear method got me 1/2” more. I’ll take it, considering they already stretched like 1.5-2 inches from new, after 150+ wears.

@jimcord not really, I dont have much I can lose. I feel like over time all my jeans kinda slim up a bit. I usually wear a new pair damp when I first get them, then after 50-100 wears I start washing and only wear them dry. So they just shrink a bit and don’t stretch back out fully

@jimcord no offense taken at all, not a bad problem to have really. I do think I’ll size up in the future though, knowing that I’ll probably only get bigger as I get older, can’t go down from here. Always glad to share my experience with experimentation
