Ok - here is the mission for tomorrow:
- get shit done at the Bank of China
- go to HK
- open a bank account in Hong Kong
- pick up repairs (wife Levis and my jacket)
- go to Ultrasoundboots to pick up my MTO Viberg's
- check at Apollo Books for the latest Japanese Magazine
Ultrasoundboots (http://www.ultrasoundboots.com, they have a blog and Facebook page too, but none of these can be accessed from within China…) the local dealer for Hong Kong representing Viberg's, White's, WESCO and Dayton - so, if you guys have any sizing questions comparing between the brands please let me know and I will try to get them answered tomorrow.

So, I'm back from HK but lest start in order:
I had a lazy morning and got to the teak station around 10:00
Here I decided to start the day with Chinese McDonald
The whole lunch did cost 2,30€ and the main difference to European McD is that things are hot and spicy here in China.
Different on the menu are also Mango and Taro Pies replacing apple pies. I will try to get you a good picture of a taro pie - it is pink.Please be aware that the role model for all fast food chains in Asia is not McD or Burger King - it is KFC. They have adopted to the Chinese market and palate the fastest. The fact that their offer is pretty much chicken only did help a little…

I picked up the pants pretty much where I left them
got dressed
decided to go for light shoes as I might have to carry them home in a bag
the train is riding into HK
first stop was to check for my alterations that I have requested before my Moscow trip
my wife's Levis was ready, my jacket has to wait a few more days… -
the combination of the once a month wash & the constant wear has these jeans in such a nice vintage state.

next stop - as it was just around the corner - was Take5, where I had a look at the new arrivals - in the end I bought 3 tees (amongst them IHT1115), more about that later
but eventually I was on my way to UltraSoundBoots where my MTO's were waiting…and here they are

what I usually do with my premium level tees is to take detail shots and measurements before and after washing.
those details for IHT1115 will folow here - I will spare you the details for the non-IH stuff…at this point I have to mention that I am pretty much into knits, premium quality tees in particular. unfortunately, my experience with IH tees so far (1 tee from DC4 and 1 Japan tee through Take5) was very disapointing. after reading on the forum that Haraki-san has decided to re-evaluate the tees I was interested enough to wait and take a closer look...
apparently, IHT1115 is one of new generation of tees.
the fabric is much nicer in handfeel - not necessarily heavier - and the cut is different - promissing enough for me to buy it and give a wash!Size M pre-washing:
Chest - 99cm
Back Length (incl. rib) - 67cm
(drying now after washing - post washing measurements tomorrow)
fitwise I have compared it against a European S (DC4 2nd tee) and and Japan S (bought at Take5)
you can see that a new M has roughly the same chest as an old S, that more length has been added into the upper part of the body (above armpits), the shoulder angle is different (should be more ergonomic, better fit - unless you have extremely straight shoulders) and total sleeve length (shoulder plus sleeve) is longer.
and, yes, Japanese tees are much shorter… -
Should be the same size post wash (or very similar), Haraki washes after the screen printing…..
hope so - it is more a spleen that I have after being so long in the industry seeing what some mills and manufacturers do to fabrics, knits and garments in order to finish them or prevent things from happening.
pretty sure that should not be necessary here, but I just can't help it… -
