IHSH-422-BRN - 17oz Cotton Duck CPO Shirt - Brown

@CosmoSix5 I bet it's a scary first time taking IH to get altered like that
-
@wjw wasn't my first article (that I had her work on) that's for sure
-
@CosmoSix5 the shirts look great, but I’ve got to ask, who made those boots? They look awesome!
-
@jimmer_5 thanks! They're one of my most favorite and worn. Open Road Boot Company is one guy in Minnesota named Adam. Highly recommended! The leather is a reddish veg retan.
-
@CosmoSix5 thank you, I’ll check out his work!

Soaked in warm water, hot wash, and threw it in the dryer...happy with results. Didn't measure before and after, but sleeves shortened up quite a bit and overall body length slightly, not any tighter in the body. Just what I was going for. Sleeves still a little long, but closer to my 3X IHSH sleeve lengths now (my 422 is 4X).
-
First pic is before wash. Second pic after hot wash and dryer. Can really see how much the sleeves shortened--fully cuffed first pic to not cuffed after wash and dry and around the same amount of creasing.
-
What a great pic, looking sharp in the cpo, great scenery in the background. A little bit of paradise!
-
@wjw I have mine on right now and loving it. Would appreciate knowing how much length you lost in the sleeves? And what change in other measurements? How hot did you wash? I only ask as I'd love to get a little sleeve length gone and I'm aware many would like to know how much this great duck can/could shrink.
-
@Niney unfortunately I didn't measure before and after. So closest as I could do would be to go based off size chart for a before.
I soaked it in warm water for half hour or so, then threw it in a delicate cycle on hot in the wash, then into the dryer on medium heat. Though now that I think about it, probably no need for delicate if going through the abuse of a dryer.
My guesstimates of how it changed in fit...sleeves probably over an inch shorter, over all body length slightly shorter, body doesn't seem any tighter really, sleeves slightly less roomy.
If you want I could take some measurements of it now, I just don't have the before specs

@wjw this is very appreciated, you certainly see the sleeve length change in the pictures. An inch is very impressive, it's an amazing duck fabric and seems to be able to handle some abuse. I'll likely follow suit as some length shrinkage would be ideal and only a little across.
