@Kasi It’s a pretty easy fix that most jewelry stores should be able to repair. Shouldn’t take them more than a few minutes and should be relatively cheap to do.

When I received my first medal, the second class made sure that it would never fall off. He put the ribbon on my shirt sans frogs and gave it a good tap to make sure it was properly embedded…

Then there was the time I made Petty Officer…my arm was black for a week.

Don’t know if those traditions still exist though.
