Oh man…We had a trial receive similar attention out here where a doctor confessed to having brutally murdered his kids but plead insanity due to the mental strain of having to cope with his wife's infidelities. He was found not guilty yesterday morning.

He was a cardiologist.  Instead of going to jail, he will be "visiting" a psychiatric hospital.  I don't know which one is worst…. worry about picking up a bar of soap vs. fecking up your mind (assuming he was indeed insane during the act).
