@Danimal506 I did soak the brim. Just in the hottest water I was able to get from the tap though. No issues I can see from that or the dryer.

@Teejus Thanks for the feedback @Mizmazzle Great photos! I just saw those. Looks like shrink to fit is the way to go for both hats. The broken twill was much better looking in person than in photos.

@Danimal506 I’m digging it. Wore it out this evening.
-
@Mizmazzle Hell yea!
-
A couple quick fit pics before I soak it in hot water. Dont mind the scowl. That bright Texas sun is out today

Here goes nothin! @Kasi Thanks

After 30 minutes, starting at around 190f cooling down to around 120f. It’s now drying outside in the 100f degrees Texas heat. A little sun and then shade.

  And here is a fit pic after it dried for two hours outside. The bill got wet but held up fine. The patch shrunk a bit but seems to be doing good. The fit is smaller and I like it much better. Although I didn’t mind the pre-soak fit either, I wanted this hat to be more broken in feeling.

A couple days of wear. Here’s a quick playground pic

@Danimal506 Hat turned out great!!
-
@Mizmazzle Thanks!

Does the broken twill sit as high as the sashiko?
-
@Kasi They gave me one in a giveaway I won. They’re beer/soda koozies. To my knowledge they’re supposed to keep your hand from getting cold when holding a cold drink. I’ve never been a koozie guy. But they’re good for identifying your drink at a party or bbq. @bluemantra Id say so, yes. Maybe slightly less high

@Mizmazzle
