sr's are a 100 % cotton thread correct? do you have to wash them more often to keep the cotton thread strong?

Since December, I've soaked mine about once every month and a half.  The only stitch wear is on the arcs and one little snag on a front pocket.  I think the thread is pretty durable regardless as long as you followed the original soak directions somewhat.  I haven't worn mine as hard as some on here, but hard enough that I'd expect to see some damage if it were going to occur.
