On a related theme…

...what's the term for creating vintage reinterpretations of modern garments, i.e.: from a theoretical future standpoint looking back at today's militaria garb for example? Some mileage there or am I just riffing nonsense?

Sure, but perhaps there is a sub-culture clothing opp here. Imagine a modern version of an N1 (whatever it is they issue) viewed through the same halcyon lens that current vintage reinterpretation clothing is viewed.

Well a lot of workwear of the 50s and 60s was actually old military gear or derivations of it - so evolution is entirely appropriate

Ok, the de facto military tech drip-down applies. I shall think about how current garb tech will be appropriated.

the direction I think they should be going in, beats me I'm a friggin' customer. now i can tell you what i want  from Iron Heart. -yeah not a direction, but i like to entertain so play along- :

*no more than two OD items a season to keep things fresh
*workshirts/westerns/jawns in all sorts of configurations of badassness
*work trousers made out of heavy duty materials (basiclly the chinos but a bit sturdier)
*cordura back packs
*work gloves
*cordura duffel bags with internal pockets

All I can think of at the moment

id love the chaps and chappesses to knock up a leather jacket with a zip out hoodie,,mebbe an MA1,benny hat,,engineer boots,para boots,,,,jeez the list could go on fer ever,, ;D,,what ever is churned out fer fall/winter im sure will bowl us over

IMO denim and flannel are the soul of IH.

Yesterday afternoon, just back from visiting Flat Head show (note the t-shirts G and Beats are wearing).  Not quite sure what they were doing in our bathroom… some weird cleansing ritual...?

Still no idea what Beats was up to… chewing on the hem of some jawns, speeding up the evo...?
