    Lando!
We do resole!  When it's time to resole them, send them back to us and we'll take care of you.  The fact that your shoes can be 'factory' resoled is definitely one of the perks of buying Oak Streets.  In the years to come, whenever your shoes need this service we will gladly care for them, and send them back to you good as new.

Jimmy - thank you for the kind words!  When I was designing this first Oak Street collection I really found no need to line the shoes.  Chromexcel is such a strong leather, that lining for extra 'stand-up' was absolutely not necessary.  I did line the navy blue strap loafer, as this was a dressier shoe.

It was definitely a preference, and one that I think most of our customers prefer.

The lack of lining further allows for a better breathing shoe, ultimately supporting a longer life of the shoe.

    Thanks so much everyone,

not sure why you want a lining  especially for a summer shoe - but let me tell you that these are awesome the way they are designed and i havn´t though one second about the (missing) lining so far and sure wont..

+1 and I had been wondering how these were such comfy boots, I think part of the reason is the lack of lining, they do breathe extremely well and my feet just do not get hot in them….

I was impressed when I read Oak Street Bootmakers do resoles as well, great customer service & product.  Can't wait to see what else they have coming down the pike.

Thanks for answering my question! Obviously doesn't apply here but the reasons for lining moccasins [don't know about boots] because originally most people wear it without socks so for comfit it cover the seams, adds padding and draws sweat away from feet.

I´am still very pleased with the trail oxford, but I have to revise my informations on sizing. They do run a little large, I agree, but in my opinion its less than a barrie or trubalance. It was a bit too less for me so now I switched to a 11 (tts) and this is just perfect.

So if your not sure I suggest getting both (if possible and anywhere in stock..)

Warning for everybody who thinks about the beefroll pennys. This trick doesn´t work on the pennys. Taking them tts made them way too big and the heel was slipping like hell.. so I think you have to take those a half a size down.

                              Simon.

interesting sizing info Simon, and thanks for the heads up.

Once i start wearing my Navy Vibram Sole Camp Boot I'll let you all know what I think about the sizing as well.  SO far these do feel a bit larger than other shoes I have in the same size, but not so much that I would have sized down an entire half size.  However, that opinion may change once I start wearing these & they break-in a bit.

                                Will keep you all posted
