The Cracking Clobber and Clinical Depression leg starts here…

There will likely be lots of posts some days, with breaks inbetween. Because lets face it, me lying on a sofa in my underpants playing Mario Kart is not going to be saved by this rather tasty jacket.

After @denim-dawg kicked the tour off in a way never before seen, I’m not even going to try and reproduce his level of performance. There will be me in the jacket, bits of Bodø, the tune of the day and that kind of thing. There may be some interesting tit-bits regarding mental health too. Because I’m all about the transparency. As I’ve learnt I also need to be all about the setting of healthy boundaries. So anyone that has an issue with any of the above can go and fuck themselves. Respectfully, of course

The good news is that Day One is off to an auspicious start. It’s Friday, the temps have reached double figures and the sun is shining. The jacket has been collected, responsibly packed by Mr. Dawg, and including some very welcome surprises. More about that later. Because now it’s breakfast time…

Interesting that there is quite a bit of English on the side of the boat. Is it because Bodo is a tourist area or is it common in your part of Norway?

That is for the bloody tourists @goosehd To be fair I always feel quite sorry for them. It costs a lot to get here, it’s expensive to be here, and while it’s nice when the sun shines, the chances of that are limited.

So the jacket went from Tromsø to Bodø... Please explain, for the ignorant Umlaut-loving German - where does the habit of crossing out letters originate to, and how do you actually pronounce that?

@tody it is just a single letter to represent a dipthong. Much tidier than the English habit of combining vowels in a random order then pronouncing them in three different ways.

Based on English phonetics:

Ø = urh
Å = ooh
Æ= aeh
