IHDR-502-OLV - 11oz Cotton Whipcord Cargo Pants - Olive
-
Thank you for the clarification Reuben

New pair arrived yesterday and, while a bit loose in the waist, they are eminently wearable with a belt. Going to see a lot of wear once it stops feeling like an autoclave outside.

My IHDR-502's paired with a green Vivienne Westwood Tee & Iron Heart Engineers

So I went with my normal size in these.
Definitely should have sized up to a 38 if wanted me to fit in them as is, as slightly uncomfortable in the thigh and waist and as other people have commented, there is zero stretch.
However! At the beginning of lockdown lost a fair bit of weight, half of which I have put back on due to the reintroduction of Guinness into my life.
So long story short Im going to keep them with my current mission in life being to eat less, move more to get into these bad-boys, as they are seriously beautiful and remind me of a favourite tapered pair of cargoes that I used to wear about twenty years ago (but obviously more heavy duty and improved)! Fingers crossed!

Nothing like a bit of high-end motivation… go get ‘em sunshine!

I hear you and applaud the effort! I initially had the same idea but, knowing full well my odds of actually achieving said goal, decided to size up instead.

No doubt a wise choice!
Im under no illusion that my goal will probably fail due to love of Guinness and glorious tasty rum. Need to at least give it a whirl though [emoji869]

It’s all about balance mate. Cut down on certain things. Like food! A regular healthy meal has the same calories as two pints. Just cut out dinner and stick to the beer. You’ll fit into those pants in no time [emoji851]

Hey guys
Long time lurker and fellow IH loyalist. My first pair was the 634s over 10 years ago.
Wanted to give a shout out to these Whipcord Cargos. The 888 cut and fit and fabric are all on point.
Most cargo pants come in a relaxed fit and can look and feel a bit messy. These fix all that and some.
Also, quick PSA, the cargo pockets only have 1 button. I almost ripped out the other side thinking the button was stuck. It is in fact, stitched on (very strongly, I'll say!).

Looking sharp there @Cole particularly loving the tigerstripe [emoji869][emoji869][emoji869]

Out in the field today where these bad boys really come into their own.
