            I am not sure if your been sarcastic or not but that is clearly a lockstitch machine. It has a walking foot

              Unity is fully functional again.  I had set one of the paramaters to be the thickness of two ciggie papers and it should only have been one.  She is a sensitive old gal.  Here is Rob the Unity surgeon:

                      Just tried it on a cheapo very stretchy one.  Not altogether syccessful, but on a proper Tee (IH), it is likely to be a lot better…................When you come down, bring a selection......................

                        Does chainstitching stretch enough to work for a tshirt?  Seems like it would be possible, though.  Just need to use lighter weight thread and maybe reset the stitch length.

                        EDIT: damn, Giles had a faster and better answer…

                          On the Union Special, altering the stitch length is a major engineering job.  It means frigging around with a bunch of internal cams…...Not happening.....

                          But, the beauty about the chain stitch is that is stretches with the cotton on the Tee.  No problems there....
