Paula is working on something, so maybe this if it works or I might go for the Holiday Inn Express PORTSMOUTH - GUNWHARF QUAYS, what is located not too far away (just across the harbour, so only some walking and the ferry)

Hi BH and DS, we are working on some overflow accommodation.  We know someone who has a couple of houses he lets out to yachting crews, he assures me they are very nicely done up with ensuites etc.  Waiting to hear from him about availability and cost - these would be close by (10 mins walk) and hopefully inexpensive.

There are a few hotels and guest houses in Gosport and Portsmouth within easy reach, so give me a few days and I'll publish further info for all.

haven't booked it yet, since I have first to sort out some other traveling plans to make it to the party, but it was something like 110 Euro a night

We are popping out tonight to have a chat with a mate who has a house which he rents out (usually for yacht crews), we think it has about 9 bedrooms.  More info when we get it…...........
