Boom! Very nice indeed. How are finding the fit? And how are you getting on with your IHWE-5's?

            @neph93 Hi!
The fit is OK, I think  🙂

I usually use insoles, I have them in different thickness.
I have minor issues with my left feet, it is not the same as right feet. the right feet fits perfectly, but left feet has issues with the height of toe-box, the big toe touches the top of toe-box and it could hurt after long walk.
Looks like I will have to use the lightest insole that I have, or to use thous that were included to these boots.
Or might be I needed the 0.5 size bigger or in E width… 😎 will see, maybe all I need is to wear them for some time, since this feedback is based on 1 day of use... leather has some tendency to stretch and adapt to your feet.

Unfortunately I didn't used my 5's build a lot, I have too many boots  ::) and all require my attention...

Haha mate. Same thing for me. My left foot is a little bit longer than my right foot. And my left big toe touches the upper part of the toe box, too. Maybe the toebox of this model tends to be kind of narrow because of the second layer of leather in the toe area. The toebox of my redwing gts is higher, but I think length is the same. So for me it is not possible to slip my toes to the front because the height is low.

Mine do get comfier every day. And my feet get used to it. Hat some achilles pain. It's gone. And I wore the boots with thicker socks the last two days. And today with sport socks. So, more room in the toe compartment.

I have a question. If you buy really top notch dress shoes. The construction should be almost the same like the construction of top notch boots. But with dress shoes you wear quite thin dress socks. And with boots you should wear thicker boot socks. Why? If the construction is almost equal?

This is no straightforward answer, first of all you could wear dress shoes with thick socks  and work boots with thin socks.
Secondly, work boots usually have different construction, like this wescos… of cause some work boots are done in Goodyear welt construction,  but not all of them. Mainly dress shoes have Goodyear welt or Blake construction with some variations and some rear methods...
Then the workboots historically made for work, to be durable and protect the feet. Thick leather, thick and durable sole and etc. When dress shoes require thin fine leather,  flexible sole, lightweight... and doesn't require that much protection.

I have changed the original insoles with some thin aftermarket insoles… now fits better.
I assume sport socks are thick?
If you had a problem with your big toe on left feet, then it should be even more tight there?

First days I wore them with boot socks or hiking boot socks which are quite thick.
I think that I stretched the boot overall wearing these socks. And now with normal adidias sport socks, which are inbetween dress socks and boot socks regarding thickness, they fit really fine.

Some summary for 3 days of wear.
                                  I wear size 9.5D.
I still fit too tight in the toe box. My big toe under constant pressure and I feel pain at the end of the day.
I also see that my toe almost reached the end of the toe box, so no extra space. - I assume for a good fit you should always have some free space after your big toe?
This all with the most thinnest insoles and dress socks.  Even when I put them on, the socks are gathering around the arch of the feet. So it is very tight fit.
Initially thought it might stretch a little, but now I think not that much to get a good fitting.
The fitting around heel is perfect.

                                  Need advice:
What could be better choice, 9.5E or 10D?
And what is the difference between them?

@neph93 , @Giles or other wesco experts, guys please help…

@Bulatik85, I feel your pain  If both width and length are an issue, 10E seems a sensible choice, as you'd have the flexibility to wear thicker socks or insoles to tweak the fit.  If they seem too tight or short anywhere, you'll never like them (or wear them) as much as they deserve.

I have three pairs of Wescos which are all spacious and I wear them a lot.  I have a fourth pair in the same size, but a narrower last, which I never wear at all.  Total waste of money.

I've got 3 pairs of Wesco's. 2 of them are 10.5s and one is a 10. But the 10 is a Jobmaster with lots of toe room.

I seem to enjoy a slightly bigger fit compared to the alternative. In running shoes I go 11 so I really only sized down a half size in boots. In wolverine 1k and Iron rangers I went 11s.

That being said I got these in my typical 10.5 and the fit for me was perfect. If I had to say something… I could see going a little wider. But it not really being an issue for my feet.  I've had them on the last week almost all day with no issues at all.

I would say to me it sounds like maybe you should have went 10. But I'll let others chime in

I also want to understand what would be the difference between
                                        9.5d and 10d
                                        And
                                        9.5d and 9.5e

I assume that 10d would be both longer and wider.
                                        And
                                        9.5e would be just wider…

But would 9.5e be wider than 10d ?
Would E width be also wider around the heel? (Where I would prefer to have good tight fit)

@Bulatik85 I can help a little… I just compared two west engineers I have on the MP last. One is 10.5D the other is 10.5E. The heel is the same width but the E starts to widen as the boot widens and is consistency wider all the way to the toe. At the boots naturally widest point the E fitting is about 1cm wider than the D fitting.

By the sounds of things you need a size 10 to give your toe some room. To decide width, simply assess how tight your current boot is when properly laced. How much room do your feet have at their widest point? Does the widest point of your feet match the widest point of the boot?

I have a strong feeling that a 9.5E would be wider than a 10D, but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Your point was that the 10D would be wider than 9.5D. You're right, I'm sure it will be, but possibly not by a whole centimetre.
