I think the LP is a wax/oil mix, it's certainly a wax, but soft like a pommade. Could you push your finger through to the bottom of the jar? Maybe. Probably. But I wouldn't characterize it as a gel.

Just a little side note, this stuff was created in the Pac northwest where I live and folks (myself include) have sworn/used it for as long as I can remember.  I have even used it as chap stick in a pinch, the stuff is very "kind" too say the least.

Thanks man.  I guess if I had to use one phrase it would be "it's Iron Heart tough."  It feels incredibly substantial yet smooth - you can feel the quality - but the size is perfect, and it folds easily.  The smell might be my favorite part however…

thanks AFTRMTH and bertoni… and bertoni, i was on the fence for a long time on this one and then they went out of stock.  researched a lot of wallets but nothing seemed to have the same combination of "plus factors" as this one.  the moment i received it, there were no more doubts.

my only regret was not listening to G and Beatle earlier when they recommended it to me a while ago, i should have snapped it up then!

This wallet is incredible, I have had mine just about a year now and love it more every day!  I'll try and get some pics of it up soon as the way it has taken on indigo is very cool.  I must agree BK the smell is really one of the coolest parts.  The size is perfect and the removable card holder is genius for traveling IMO.  So nice to have the optional space when you need it and be able to remove it when you don"t.
