I just picked up an S95.  Was debating between that and upgrading my 40D to a 7D, but in the end figured a great pocket camera would be the way to go… the best pictures are the ones you actually take, and all that...

Prime is the way to go. Sold my 24-70 2.8L and picked up a 35 1.4L for everyday shooting with my 5D couldn't bbe happier!

I did the same thing with the 35L.  My 24-70 is dropping off ebay today. It's 5-6 years old and I'm only going to lose about 100 bucks off the price I paid.

I'd like something wider like a Zeiss 21mm, maybe.  Wide angle drives me nuts tbh, but sometimes you just can't escape it.

If I recall this was Tri-X + D76.
shot with my old Leica III and a CV 15/4.5 lens.

not a lot of grain there, the D76 produces a much smoother neg than Rodinal which I also like to use
here's another with a bit of that grain for ya

What is the best photo editing software for a MAC OS X running ver.10.6?

I was looking at purchasing Aperture but the reviews aren't really giving me warm and fuzzies and I am not getting any clear photo editing software options with Photoshop for the Mac.

But how advanced do you need it to be?
If just basic photo editing there's lots more options.

finally upgraded to the iPhone 4
curious if anyone here uses theirs a lot for photography?
looking for a non-bulky case with a stand
or a small separate accessory stand to use for shooting
I'd rather not carry a mini-tripod around
and any recommendations on the best photo app
requirement: self timer
so much easier doing fit pics with the phone and upload via tapatalk
vs camera/card to computer to web to forum
