anyone (Lando I'm looking in your direction) handled the new Epaulet shoes? they look much like OSB's offerings, are hand-sewn in Maine (does everyone in Maine work in the shoemaking business), Horween leather, look pretty nice for the money.

I spoke to George@OSB last night, he’s too much of a gentleman to dis Epaulet (and what would it buy him anyway?). But I can tell by the tone of his voice, that he aint a happy bunny.
As for this topic, I want to state this once and only once. I no longer work at Epaulet. I own the Oak Street's and LOVE them! I also have a pair of Epaulet's that I was given before I left. As for the whole "similar" look between the two, let's just say that Epaulet and I had creative differences. I will be buying more Oak Streets in the future!!!

Thanks for the thoughts Lando. I hope you don't think I meant anything tossing your name out there. I didn't know you worked for them. I just knew you were in NYC and owned some EP stuff so figured if anyone had seen the in house shoes it might be you.

I recently bought the navy oxford. the shoe seems to be really well build, i like it alot! The smell of the leather is great as well, comparable to the smell of an fresh oob Aero jacket
The finish is awesome, as is the fit.
I´m a 10.5 bd in the barrie, trubalance and 11bd aberdeen (Alden). I took a 10.5bd in these as well. Perfect.
Just one thing: I hope those shoelaces will last for a long time, because if they wont, I have to order another pair from George because I actually don´t think I can buy such cool shoelaces any where around.
Id take some pictures but rented my camera to my mom..
Guys, buy them! you won´t be disappointed

hmm, this thread making me want to buy one…one quick question, do we need to really wait for 6 weeks for it?
if he has them in stock, no. if he doesn´t have them in stock I can´t tell.. maybe 6 weeks max?
He told me that he´s trying to build up a stock but that people are buying too many shoes so he can´t..
not the worst problem to have but still a problem.. ^^Simon.

Very Nice!
Been wearing my Vibram Oxford's pretty much since I got them. I do have a slight problem though… I didn't order any of the Venetian Shoe Cream, and now wish I had as it'll cost a fortune to get some shipped to the UK!
Anyone got any suggestions?
I have some 'natural' shoe wax, which I've used on some Red Wing's, but it sort of leaves little bits in the texture of the leather and is a bit waxy so attracts dirt.
