@Chap thank you. I have talked myself out of the need for an IH M65 even though they look amazing as I prefer the repros. If we are talking jackets, you TFH leather always blows me away. It's a good job rivet and hide don't stock a size 46 else I'd max out my credit card!

@doguhanca thanks. I really love the 888 cut but I agree with you that the 1955 suits me a tad better looks-wise. I’m a function over form guy though, so as long as the 888 is around I’ll probably not be buying the 1955 again.

@tvenuto I'm interested now as I have just ordered a pair of 1955S myself! I was over the fence on waiting for the 888S because the rise is a little lower than the 1955S but I need that little bit of rise as my b*lls are getting crushed with a medium rise

Yea for me the 1955 is just too much rise. Although the top block is far from constrictive, it is tighter on my hips than the 888. Also the pockets get effectively shortened which makes carrying the phone more difficult. At least this is how they work on my body. I do still like them just not as much as the 888

@spitfiredealer I know, I know… Although at this point it isn’t so much about movement as what they’re actually holding together. I think they stopping some things from falling off

@Stuart.T I always wanted a full beard but it’s at peak fuzz at the minute I’m afraid. If I try to grow it out any more I look like Catweazel. Accept the things you cannot change and all that… I try not to be envious of your majestic specimen.

@doguhanca I own an N1 and I believe the IHW-13-GR to be an even better winter coat. It was -4C up here today and I was toasty. The design features and form plus the materials make it more than the sum of it’s already considerable parts. I look forward to testing it out in the extremes of winter. Also, thank you for the kind words.

It’ll be seeing a lot of wear through the next four months, I’ll keep you all informed. Although to be honest, I’m already convinced it’ll tackle the approaching arctic winter with flying colours.

@neph93 showing me how bad to the bone the IHW-13 is. I wonder though for those of us with full beards, if the M65 style stand up collar would just not work well? I am not fond of my beard getting pushed up or pulled.
