Iron Chef WAYCT - What Are You Cooking Today
-
OK, that choc cake made me so hungry I decided to do some cooking. Cold and rainy here so perfect for a Jamie Oliver beef stew:
Fresh sage and onion, looks crap but wish I could post the lovely smell:
Realise when veggies, meat, wine and stock are being added that pan not big enough so messy transfer (not shown) to bigger casserole dish
Nearly ready to go in oven:
Now in oven with several hours slow cooking - hopefully enough time for me to clear up (not insignificant) mess in kichen…

Thanks, IJ. Sad to admit, I am anything but a domestic goddess - but this dish is pretty idiot-proof (and must say, it's smelling good!)

Eaten. Doesn't look so go in photos, but was yum. G said was very good (high praise from Head Chef)
This was my plateful, couldn't take pic of G's cos would need wide-angled lens… ::)
More on WAYCT from me in about 3 months. Back over to IJ!

Mme, Jii is ex-pro, I'm just sunday hobbyist
Tomorrow, I'll be just helping hand in kitchen, but sunday is my turn…
and Jii's creation looks good. Like "real" portion. Mine are always there just to feed the family ???
I can tell you all a secret. I started cooking just for this fekkin' thread. oooops now I said it. Missus here is though happy to get hot meal that she hasn't made herself.

Dinner Time, come and get it!!
Meat to owen, then onions and garlic went into the pan first with some oil, after a while rice and spices, add water and let boil
Then I forgot I had a camera…. Chopped tomatoes and tossed them in with shrimps, heated up. (also some pea/corn/red pepper mix)
The meat was at this point ready, so just get it served
