Look, I'm going to do this in my words and not have Mme B put it through here political correctivity filter.
As some of you may know, Geo is currently in hospital.
Story. When, with cat-like reflexes, (his words to me actually) Geo avoided being seriously hurt by that scaffold pole, he only broke his doze.
So, he had to go into hospital to have it fixed. Whilst he was there, they took the opportunity of running him through his annual check up. Long story short, they found he had cancer of the lung. I say lung, because the eejit snorted a BIC cap when he was young, it lodged in his lung and the subsequent complications meant he had to have one of them removed.
He had the operation yesterday, all went well and they have got all of the tumour out.
BUT, they also found early stages of cancer in his lymph nodes. The prognosis is good, but he is going to have a pretty shit time over the next few months having chemo and radiio (or, the sun bed as Geo puts it).
He is in good form, I have made it my avowed intent to make him either piss himself or bust a stitch - i think I'm pretty close.
Geo, we love you. Get better PLEASE.

Being a true scot i'm sure the shitty illness will have one hell of a fight on it's hands. I'm sure all the love you'll get from this forum will help a tiny bit in maintaining what i'm convinced is an already legendary resolve. Thoughts are with you Geo
Get well soon mate.

Guys, gals and everyone else; as ever Giles is just exaggerating - it's no problem for medical equipment to go through customs and security at airports . . . well easier than trying to get some piss-head from the gosport areas onto a plane without upsetting passengers and crew!
My worry about the Japan trip was that I would need to put up with his interminable stream of jokes about the situation . . .
So anyway it's not really what I had in mind for this year but it's still an adventure and I'm looking forward beyond this to being able to describe my long and heroic battle to Giles on a minute by minute basis on the next flight to Japan . . . I'm pretty sure I could make the story last the WHOLE flight
But that little pleasure aside, I am really touched and grateful for your support and goodwill . . . Ironhearts one and all - BAM!
