Thanks @henry_david - I refer to them lovingly with my boss as my poor man aldens (As he wears alden suede penny's almost exclusively lol) but honestly, the sea island line is pretty great. It's water resistant suede on a hand stitched multi thickness leather sole, so you get the looks of a moc+topsider for some island flare, works great around water, and you get a robust sole so comfy all day.

lol @Appfaff. Aldens are nuts money-wise and AE is solid enough IMO (esp with the recrafting service they provide). Plus, they have big sizes and rad designs.

Thanks @henry_david you won’t regret the Wabash when you finally pull the trigger. The 12oz fabric on the Wabash and Hickory stripe has a really great hand. Also, the Wabash runs long in the body, which I can see benefitting you.

Stoked in the XHS evo… I must admit that I've been eyeing the black rather than indigo with respect to the wabash. Am I screwing up??

@henry_david not at all! You really can’t go wrong with any of the IH wabash offerings. Just depends what you like. I find the black wabash easier to pair with indigo denim & looks killer with black denim. It also fades with wear & washes so you’re not missing out on that aspect.
