So, we (the shipping, packing, travel trainee) have booked the flights for June.
We arrive in LA on 9th June latish afternoon. Leave for Mexico with Kiya and Demitra on 13th,
We are then in San Francisco from 20th thru 23rd.

looks like i'll for sure be meeting G-Dawg and The lovely Mrs. Padmore in June then. either in LA or SF or better yet, both! (stops posting and begins waiting for Lando to announce a potential appearance…)

Weather should be nice; hope you have a good time.
If you have time for a side trip, you should go to Lockhart or Luling for some of the best barbecue the state has to offer. City Market in Luling is my personal favorite, though Smitty's, Black's or Kreutz's in Lockhart are excellent, too.

Really looking forward to being back in LA 9th to 12th June.
When we visited last October, our final stop was the Cheesecake Factory in Marina del Ray where we had lunch outside in the sun. I insisted on taking away 2 x slabs of cheesecake, which went into my hand luggage.
Half an hour later having some problems at LAX security, not liking the cheesecake showing up on the x-ray machine. G was cleared and airside, I was thinking I was gonna have to sit in the security area eating both pieces of cheesecake (on an already full tummy). No way was I leaving them behind.
Anyhow, after several passes through the x-ray machine and some close inspection of the Cheesecake Factory carry-out bag, I got cleared and the cheesecake flew back with me to the UK. Didn't travel too well, got a bit messed up, but all the better excuse to scoff pretty much as soon as we landed.
So, this is a call-out for all of you (Beats, DS and Blackheart I am already counting) who are up for a cheesecake-fest in LA!

Paula, no worries, no matter how many slices you plan on smuggling out of the US - I will eat them before you get to the airport..

DS is right Paula, we have a Cheesecake Factory at the Grove which is walking distance from my place and
about 1/2 a mile from SELA.We got you ALL covered, and if you eat too much I know everyone here in the ER…!
