New Wild-Ass Studio D'Artisan & O△X
First up we have the Kusaki-Zome shirt. Studio D'Artisan have gone down every path of ancient Japanese textile dying styles and have finally reached one of the most difficult and time consuming styles of dying, Kusaki-Zome. This is an ancient style of dying which involves burning, then cooking down various natural plant/leaves/wood to create a soot which is then fermented naturally over a period of 6 to 12 months, then reconstituted with water to create a fully natural dye-bath. Truly an amazing depth of color in the fabric made for these shirts.
The Freedom Hoodie is one of the coolest pieces we've seen come from Studio D'Artisan's O△X line. Slightly oversized fit, really great fabric treatment, and some nice hem detailing here.
The BORO French Work Jacket is truly a next level piece from Studio D'Artisan's O△X line. By using boro (Japanese patchwork) techniques combined with natural indigo dying they've created one of the most beautiful French work jackets we've ever seen. These are made in very limited numbers as part of their new fall collection.

Self Edge Graphic Series T-Shirt #18 - Natty Wine Time
#18 in our Graphic Series is a collaboration with Brooklyn based artist Rachel Hayden. Rachel’s paintings speak to us; her use of inanimate object-characters are exactly what we need to fill our lives. This is our second collaboration with Rachel, this time we’ve moved from love to wine.. this t-shirt’s theme is the ancient amphora (aka, the Greek ἀμφορεύς). This is how wine was made pre-steel tanks, and is now the cool thing to drink as natural wine comes roaring back in popularity across all painfully hip bars across the world. We’re into it, and there are more production ethos parallels between selvedge denim and natural wine than you’d probably think.
Along with the t-shirt we’ve done a small run of holographic die-cut stickers, each t-shirt comes with one of these stickers while supplies last. You can now find these tees at all five of our stores and online.

Our first Buzz Rickson jeans are finally here. These are a special edition pair made of a newly developed 13.6oz unsanforized (but rinsed) denim in a classic straight leg fit. These WWII jeans are a complete reproduction of jeans produced during the war when the US government had imposed strict restrictions on materials which garment manufacturers used to produce their products. Amazing attention to detail and a stand-out item from Buzz Rickson's new collection. This fabric is also available in a denim jacket with a single chest pocket.
Buzz Rickson Type M-65 jacket liners, we’ve got em. These things are seriously sick and are made of a Buzz Rickson developed Japanese nylon with a poly pile insulating liner and a mil-spec brass CONMATIC zipper. Conventional M-65 liners were designed exclusively for fly front closure jackets and couldn’t be worn by themselves, this liner has a zipper and other modified specs so that it can also be worn by itself.
The M-1951 pants are Buzz Rickson's homage to the US Army M1951 Field Trousers, expertly produced without a single missing detail. The fabric has a light slub texture to give it life, the hardware is all top notch Buzz Rickson Japanese made, and the fit it absolutely perfect. Although this is made of a cotton back satin fabric they are super durable as these were originally produced to be worn over your pants. This model has a relaxed fit with a wide leg for ultimate mobility.

Poten Winter Collection of Japanese Baseball Caps

This season we see Poten doing their caps in three new fabrics. We have a navy twisted linen yarn fabric, a black dobby woven fabric, and a black cord cap with a black velvet brim. These hats are crazy nice, nicer than any other straight ahead baseball cap we've ever seen. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every cap style has a super soft and supple inner leather headband which has been lightly treated so it’s not destroyed by sweat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The caps have zero exterior branding except for the stitches which you can see from the top of the crown from the interior branding tags being sewn into the center of the crown. The cap has a medium height crown and the brim has a medium length to it with 19 concentric stitches which feel and look pretty cool in person. If you're into baseball caps, you'll love what Poten is doing.

We have three very hot Samurai winter flannels this week. All three are produced with indigo-dyed yarns, are heavy and soft, and come complete with indigo dyed buttons with absolutely perfect construction; they've nailed every element of these things. The Flat Head Winter Collection of Very Fine Shirts
Flat Head’s winter line has landed at all stores. We have three different heavy winter flannels and two native check woven shirts.
The heavy winter flannel series are made of their heaviest selvedge flannel which has been double brushed on the interior for comfort and wind resistance. These shirts are finished with real mother-of-pearl inlayed buttons and double-needle and chainstitch construction.
The native check shirts are one Flat Head's most impressive shirting fabrics; produced entirely on vintage looms, these fabrics are extremely complex and over time the pattern opens up with wear and washing.

Dandy's 2022 Eyewear Collection
The new winter collection of eyewear from Dandy’s is here. The new collection consists of six new models made in their own workshop in Segusino, Italy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many of their shapes and styles are inspired by Enzo Ferrari who built his legacy just a couple of hours away. The studio has been producing eyewear for 45 years using only original Italian acetates and in-house designed stainless steel hinges. They believe modern production methods have become too precise and polished so some of the frames are literally unfinished, giving the frames a very natural human quality. Some are partially unfinished, some are completely unfinished with the machine markings from the cutting of the in-house acetate. It’s quite wild, and extremely unique. Most of the frames are larger than all the eyewear brands we currently carry; great if you’ve been wanting a larger or bolder frame. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We've got two really special shirts here as we see Studio D’Artisan pushing their production techniques to a new level with the Amami-Dorozome mud-dyed winter heavy flannel. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is an absolutely beautiful mud-dyed flannel made by artisans living on the Amami-Oshima islands of Japan. This style of Dorozome dying dates back hundreds of years on these small islands north of Okinawa and they're able to produce extremely deep earth tones by using local "red mud" from the islands. Available now in Brown or Super Dark Brown.

Neff Goldsmith Restock - Strange & Interesting Jewelry
We've just received a very large restock of Neff Goldsmith's entire line of sterling silver and gold jewelry. We absolutely love jewelry and have slowly expanded our jewelry selection at our stores over the past couple of years. Neff Goldsmith is a jewelry line made by an extremely talented jeweler and maser setter by the name of Chris Neff. ⠀

Chris' inspirations come from his deep understanding of the heritage of jewelry and vintage silversmithing. All pieces are made in-house at his own foundry out of sterling silver with many pieces having 18k yellow gold accents. Pure Blue Japan EXTRA SLUB Denim Jean
The Pure Blue Japan EX-019 and EX-013 Extra Slub denim jeans are here. This 17.5oz denim is woven at a very low tension with a super short staple cotton, giving the fabric extreme character. These have a slightly higher slub level than their previous “Super Rough” series and with bit more waviness to the denim.

3sixteen Burkino Faso Selvedge Denim Jeans
Today we have a beautiful new indigo denim from 3sixteen made of Burkina Faso African cotton fibers with just the right amount of nep which is sure to create some very interesting vertical falling as the denim ages and lightens with regular wear. This new denim is available in 3sixteen’s Classic Straight (CS) and Classic Tapered (CT) jean fits.
The yarns do not utilize any bleach when the raw cotton is scoured in order to reduce chemical usage and CO2 output. The yarns are also dyed in a new eco-dyeing process that reduces environmental impact.
A portion of the sales of this denim is donated to the “Japan Burkina Friendship Society” to assist in building schools and wells.
