Love the Country Ranger (#2) and think they'd work for your purposes.  Too bad I can never snag them in my size.

I wear 9.5D in Alden trubalance last but could wear a 9 in summer with thinner (or no) socks

I've been told this season's are TTS by the Inventory guys.  I would whatever retailer and ask 'em just in case.

get #2, crepe sole looks funky with loafers imo.

imo the non boots you can size tts or if you must, size down half. no more than that

they're real nice to loaf about in - that's for sure, but you need to get the crepe soles for that extra bounce and softness
