IHD-01 - Special G Denim Version

Honestly though, an IHD-01 in the 12-13 oz denim just seems too similar, for me, to what I already have from IH/TW. But a lining would really separate it from anything IH has right now.

Now, this is me being difficult:

Line it with flannel, and then… wait for it... make it reversible.

I'd like to see it in either overdyed black TW or the 27's denim. No lining for me  keep the cut, simple and tough as fck.

OK.  It was a massive disappointment that the factory can't make this out of the 18oz raw denim.

But I took to wearing my sample again this weekend (It has been up at Aero for a few months).

Wearing is again made me understand just how versatile this shirt/jacket is.

So I came up with Plan B…..

Make it out of the raw 12oz denim that we use for IHSH-27:

Still use the nice oversized snaps (or perhaps the mother of pearl ones we used on IHSH-37).

What do you reckon?

So whilst I like giving you the lot the idea that this is a democracy, I prefer to think of it as a benevolent dictatorship…..

Haraki and I have decided that we will make this in the raw 13.5oz denim that the TWHRII's are made out of.  See below for a a pic of how the denim fades.

I am still debating snaps (input please).  Black as per the IHSH-33, large white as per my 18oz sample or mother of pearl like the IHSH-37.

It will be unlined.

It will come in wither raw indigo or overdyed black.

Will the MOP snaps be just like the 37, or will they have the larger clasp part like the 33?

I am trying to find some bigger MOP buttons, but at the moment the choice is IHSH-37 type only….

That's one the things I love about my 33… Heavy duty snaps..

And I love black snaps on denim..

My choice is clear.

I recall seeing some snaps on the IH/Aero mockups that looked quite nice as well… larger, metal, muted

In this pretense of a democracy, Haraki strongly recomends the large white.  And I personally agree….........
