I believe I heard the commentators mention he had second degree burns and a few bruised ribs. wasn't good watching it live just seen the fireball and watching him jump out of the fire when they deemed it okay to show the replays. would've been a whole different story if he was knocked unconscious which thankfully he wasn't.

there was certainly something about fires and this race. Perez's car caught on fire at the end too.

still quite a stellar performance from George. all things considered, it's not his car, not fitted for him and only had a day or so driving it. I'm looking forward to his first podium in F1

Anyone else excited about the 2021 F1 season? It's going to be fascinating to see how Alonso performs after 2 years out, not to mention Lando v Ricciardo! Oh, and Sainz in the Ferrari.. and Aston Martin unveiling their F1 livery..can't wait!
And for anyone who hasn't watched it, Drive to Survive (Netflix) is a great watch.
