I would ask how long a plane flight to Gosport would take, but I know Americans can’t travel to the UK now.

The (updated) measurements on this jacket looks very interesting…
M would be just right with a T shirt, and L with a shirt/thin sweater. Such hard choices.
The shorter sleeve/length of this jacket is making me to jump with joy!
I have my 555-01OD arriving tomorrow...this may have to be next...decisions decisions...

How much shrinkage (if any) can you expect if you only ever gave this jacket a cool soak (and avoided warm machine washes)?

I’m trying to determine when I need to factor in a bit of shrinkage.

No shrinkage, even on a hot wash. The overdying process removes it all.

I have the 18oz CPO and have washed it in both hot and cold water. No shrinkage. You may, however, get marbling if you’re not careful.

Forever, though. I don’t even want to list all the IH type 3s I have but it’s too many.

I feel you. I bought my first a number of years ago, then laid off. Had a type II in duck and a “first zip”. Figured that variation was key. But there is something about the design, the lines, that just makes them perfect whether to through on casually or as a focal point in ones attire. So I currently have three and really want a duck one….
