Beautiful GAH candy you assembled there @Kasi .

For those who know about the curb chain sizes 3 and 4… What size would you go for if you didnt want to overdo it with a look that is too hefty but would also have enough strength for big pendants like the GA bottle opener/church key or a clip size A to be used as a pendant and pendant holder?
It is also important not to look too small of a chain. I want the sweet spot. Not to small, not too big but plenty strong for the above pendants.
Thanks.

Hi @Kasi I would love to! However I am hundreds of miles from the nearest SE. I am corresponding with Jonathan at SE and getting ready to place this order with his guidance and hopefully some of the GA owners in this thread.

I’d say it depends on what your weight is. How broad your chest is. I wear a 4 but I also am broad chested and wear xxxl in westerns. And I think the 4 for me is great. But I wouldn’t mind a little bigger. But like all things, personal preference.

Thanks @HeavyGenes It is telling that you wouldnt mind a little bigger than size 4. That tells me maybe the size 4 would not be too big and hefty looking for me.
I am 6' tall around 200 lbs or so and not broad chested but with a long torso. I am also leaning toward a long chain. Either 28 or 30". I want my pendants hanging down below my long beard.
Edit* I wear XXXL in IH shirts and sometimes XXL.

Good choice. I wish I had gone longer. I have a 24. But I got my eye on a 30 Pequeno a Mano. Hopefully soon. [emoji1431]

Oh yeah that Pequeno Mano is on my radar for sure. I just really like the smoothness of the curb link so pendants and such can glide easily on it.

You would need a really thin curb chain to place a pendant over the links. On the 4, you can only place a pendant on the clip.

Oh Ill be using a clip 8 size A or a split ring as an attachment to hold the bigger pendants or as you said, use the chain clasp itself for the smaller ones.
I already own the size 1 curb chain and I was meaning to post up a photo of that. It is great for smaller size pendants or even tiny ones.

Heres the size 1 curb chain 28" with my favorite pendant. Plus a couple charms on the side. And another photo for perspective of the actual size.

Now that I think about it, the small curb chain does not guarantee your small pendants can slip over it.
Because of the clasp style I had to get a larger spring ring in order to get my really small IH charms to fit on the chain as I try to show in this photo:

The pendants shown will likely stay on the chain they are on. The bigger size 3 or 4 chain I am looking at will be for bigger pendants probably and attached with a Clip 8 size A.

In the latest Keychain news, this piece has come together nicely. Definitely a Keychain with a capital K.

Lately I have prefered The Keychain with the Clip 8 size B instead of the BLB.

Dog tag rosette burst size JumboThe dog tag was chosen because I love the rosette burst leather patch on my GA hat.
