@steelworker Nice farmland photos. How many more years will it still be around?
If not for the Amish it would be history @twin .

1100km, 34 hours and one night in Hell later We’ve arrived at the major part of our holiday, Stordal where my mother im laws family is from. It is a little village of 1000 peeps not far from Ålesund. As usual it is wet, as usual it is beautiful. I estimate four hours more until I have a rod in my hand.
Are we still talking about fishing? ???

What fishing for?
From the rocks it’ll be cod, coley and pollock. If I’m lucky I’ll get a salmon on the end. If I’m even luckier I’ll land it. If it was later in the summer then herring and mackerel would be about too.
I may go out in a boat later this week and then anything goes. The fjord is crazy deep and there is all sorts down there.
That sounds like a great day.

Holidays starts…with a long stay at our cabin in Norway....very rainy...
Whole of Norway is mate. I was out for an airport run at midnight though and it looked like this:
@RoxRocks86 regarding my comment on IG, here are the family cabins we’re using:

Dang Reuben you delivered!!! Spectacular area and properties, absolutely love the look of the sod roofs! Are homes/cabins typically still built with them? Thanks for sharing
-
Nice, they look very well kept! Just read up on them. Quite a bit of benefits to this type of roof and of course the charm that it adds to the place. Wish it was implemented in buildings out here.
-
How do you get a mower up there?
-
Some people’s where we have our cabin have gress on the roof. We are near Trysil. Hedmark. Very cold in winter. Minus 30c. Of course it is one extra isolation. Great against long winter. We receive a lot of snow every single winter. It means big big weight on. U have to be sure to have a very solid roof construction. Very well made. “Local made”…
