Anyone else pumped for the new John Wick? Just reserved seats for the premiere and can’t wait.
Folks were debating the merits of grim movies a while ago and on this vein, I’d like to suggest Zahler’s latest, ”Dragged Across Concrete”, for friends of the genre… All 3 of his movies are an odd combination of awkwardness and holy sh*t -moments and they definitely stand out among the more standard fare.

Currently watching a Korean flick called “The Chaser”. Great movie, quite disturbing.

I think there are a lot of John Wick fans here… I basically think they're the best drinking flicks ever made... And hangover pics... Or just lazy midday films...
Or for people that love dogs…
Or guns...
Or really anything...

Yup. We love John Wick in our house. I won’t be able to see it on opening day though. My wife is in NYC for work and I’ll be in Indiana.
There aren't any movie theaters in Indiana?

I don’t get the love for the John Wick films. They are ok at best. I think it’s because I struggle to really see Keanu as a badass.

Fair enough. My wife has zero interest, which is good, since we can never go anywhere by ourselves. I can't remember the last non G rated movie we saw together in a theater.

I don’t get the love for the John Wick films. They are ok at best. I think it’s because I struggle to really see Keanu as a badass.
And yet, he is pretty legitimately a badass if I'm not mistaken, at least with a gun.

John Wick 3 - Yep, it does what it says on the tin.
With some outrageous action-scenes and bodycount probably in the 100+ territory, this movie leaves fans of the genre (and this particular series) wanting very little… And the ending strongly suggests there’s more to come. The story wasn’t the strongest and I would’ve liked to see more of Halle’s character, but it’s an easy thumbs up from me. -
Speaking of Keanu, I recently watched 47 Ronin and boy was that terrible. The addition of mythological creatures certainly didn't help it but I also didn't understand why Keanu's portrayal of a 'half breed' was even necessary. The only upside is that at least the main cast were Japanese actors.
