This is the drop to meet all your indigo layering needs for winter. From underlayers to sweats to shirts and finally jackets, Pure Blue Japan has quite literally got you covered.
Along with a full restock of the signature indigo T’s in both short and long sleeve, PBJ introduces us to some brand new fabrics.
Taking a dual layer approach, the ‘Double Face’ is a dual-layered, 2 ply knit employing binder threads to mesh the two layers together. The front face is knitted with indigo threads whilst the inner layer is knitted with grey, giving the unique two colour aspect. Available in classic long sleeve and cut off, where the collar cuff and hem have an unfinished style and exposed seams.

Next up we have an intensely soft and warm wool blend, which allows for some great construction and shaping to keep out wind and draughts while also providing a fluffy inner surface of unsurpassed comfort. The two versions include the crew neck sweatshirt with extra high waist and wrist ribbing, both of which are woven in contrasting directions to prevent rucking up and movement and the Military Crew Henley with a 3 button flat placket, ribbed sleeves and exposed seams.

Denim jackets in 18 Oz. selvedge denim and double indigo have landed in both Type II and Type III styles. This fabric really has to be felt to be believed - soft and flexible, comfortable yet strong. This is a denim that will last and last, while the deep indigo gradually yields to the lighter shades underneath.
For shirting, we have the impeccably shaped and skilfully tailored western flannel. A comfortable mid-weight option, these 100% cotton flannels have been yarn dyed and cut with a subtle western styling. Shaped pockets, shoulder panel and rear yoke are all complemented with gusset straps, chain stitch run-offs and tarnished stud fastening. Available in 3 unique colourways : Indigo x Grey, Indigo x White & the reverse Grey x Indigo.
The last new material sees the brand opened up to the ladies. Using a 12 Oz. cotton blend indigo denim with just the right amount of stretch, the 1069 jeans are cut with a very flattering slim taper and come with all the Pure Blue Japan standards - Iron buttons, lambskin patch, chainstitch hem and embroidered Shoai leaf to the rear pocket.

‘The Man in Black’ is the inspiration for Iron Heart's double black "Johnny Cash" denim western shirt which has just arrived.
The 12 Oz. black selvedge denim will fade slowly with age and wear delivering character and patina. It comes with IH logo'd permex snaps and black bobbin constructional threads throughout.
Everything Nine Lives creates provokes wonder and disbelief. Fabrics you never knew existed, mainly because they didn’t until Nine Lives dreamt them up. Unique cuts and designs, that while stunning and different, just make sense. The two latest arrivals exemplify just that, even down to the pure escapism of their names.
The Kalamazoo sashiko shirt bridges the gap between shirt and jacket with ease. Neatly tailored with a flattering cut through the body, the 18 Oz. sashiko fabric is the result of 3 ‘fabric scientists’ collaborating under 9L guidance to create this utterly next level weave.
The resulting material is then put through a traditional green cast Aizome process (indigo dyeing), producing a depth of colour that just draws you right in. Every detail is considered; from the gentle slope of the chest pockets, to the articulated bellows shoulders and blackened YKK sunburst press studs. We never knew a shirt could be made like this, but are we glad it was.

The Sky Valley jacket is another piece the re-invents and re-discovers the joy of garment design. A one of a kind hybrid between a Berwick and a Riders jacket, this piece delivers the best of both - the stylish and smart look of a Berwick combined with the shaping and function of a Riders.
The sharp tailoring belies the strength and solidity of this piece - a super sturdy, windproof duck outer is complemented with a faux fur lining within, making this an exceptionally warm solution for something that fits so well and with so little bulk. Storm placket, heavy duty zip beneath over spec press studs, bellows shoulders and elongated curved rear hem all combine for further element protection.

@Jordan23 heaven forbid we depended on need over desire but I'd say this jacket is pretty toasty. The faux fur lining insulates substantially. It's not a heavy winter jacket but will keep you warm in temperatures down to freezing or just below when layered.

The Studio D'Artisan Loopwheeled Crew Neck is awesome! Nice to see RnH stocking it. SDA's loopwheeled stuff is amongst the best, if not THE best IMHO. Danny, is this the limited Suvin Gold edition or the regular one (which is superb as well)?

@Dion This is the regular one. They are so good in themselves that we did not order the Suvin versions for our first order. I expect we will go much deeper into SDA loop wheeled sweaters next year.

It may come as a surprise to those new to 3sixteen or more familiar with the brands sharp cuts and forward thinking styling, that these guys have their roots firmly in the skate and streetwear scene. Never ones to lose sight of where they came from whilst forging ahead, this winters drop really shows how 3sixteen have evolved and refined their concept.
The star of the show is without doubt the Panama Cloth Stadium Jacket. The very definition of smart streetwear, 3sixteen have taken their classic stadium jacket, using its popular trimmer cut and next levelled it with an indigo construction.
The outer fabric is a 15oz. Italian Panama cloth weave. This heavy cross weave that has been dyed with double indigo (warp and weft) reveals different depths and textures throughout with lighter and darker tones that really pop. The inside is insulated and quilted, while heavyweight varsity ribbing to collar, hem, hand warmer pockets and cuff complete this exceptional piece.

The indigo dyed hoodies elevate the current "athleisure" trend to unexpected heights of sophistication. They utilise a super neppy heavy fleece fabric and are comfy and casual with side panelling to maintain the neat silhouette. They come in either a pullover iteration with heavyweight drawstring ties or a double zipped, leather toggle version. Whichever you chose these hit so many nails on the head.

We have to start with a really special piece, in the shape of the Split Steerhide jacket. Cut to a Type II pattern, this jacket is fully lined and is constructed with a 1.2mm, tan split steerhide – this is a superior cut of leather to standard suede and has an initial stiffness that softens and moulds to the wearer. This is one of those pieces that has a genuine ‘heft’ obvious before you even pick it up.

We also start our SDA journey with the blanket lined denim jacket which takes its inspiration from the classic 101 riders jacket . The warmth of this piece belies the lighter weight, although there is no doubting the sturdiness of the construction. Details include Japanese blanket lining, corduroy collar, cast metal placket buttons and resin waist cinches to the rear.
For jeans, we have two signature pieces in the SD 103 and SD 107. The 103 is a great example of a true regular, straight cut, while the 107 is a slim cut with a decent taper to the hem.
Both use an unsanforised 15 Oz. denim made from a unique blend of American and Australian cotton and both come with all the admired detailing that makes up SDA. Selvedge fly, hidden selvedge to the coin pocket, heavy duty duck pocket bags and SDA branded rivets and buttons all come together to make what is clearly the highest level of denim construction.

We also had to get involved with one of their special ‘off piste’ releases with the Fox 001. Named after Sally Fox who developed this particular strain of organic, long stapled cotton used in the weft that retained colour without the need for dye, this is environmentally friendly and consciously non synthetic in every way.
Coming in at 15 Oz, these have a relaxed, yet slim cut through the top block and thigh and a strong taper to the hem. Completed with a navy selvedge line, dual colour signature arcuates, herringbone pocket bags and a pony hair patch with fox motif.

No arrival from SDA would be complete without some representation from their renowned loopwheeled fabrics. They do this so well and use Tsur-Ami loopwheelers to produce a tightly woven, heavyweight and textured sweat.The inside is triple-brushed for extra warmth and comfort. They come in crew neck and hoody versions.

The Flat Head heavy flannels are unsurpassed in cut and construction and one of our favourite drops of the year. They are super soft with double brushed interior. They are complemented by a sharp yet unfussy ‘work’ silhouette which make this a piece that will earn its place as a favourite down the years. The green/red block check is new for this year and we have also restocked the classic black/red coulourway.
** Rogue Territory's** latest offering is a perfect layering piece that will complement pretty much anything you choose to wear. This is a 7 Oz. Japanese flannel in a beautiful shade of maroon, that fades out subtly thanks to the ombre style weave pattern.

3sixteen hit the streets 15 years ago with its unique take on menswear. In recognition of this milestone an extremely special commemorative piece has been commissioned with the 3sixteen x Schott Roughout Perfecto Jacket.
Schott supplied the fit and construction, basing the pattern on their classic 519 Perfecto. Horween stepped up to supply the most amazing veg-tanned roughout cowhide which is full grain, waxed and dark as night. The heavy duty hardware is tonal enhancing the clean lines of the design, with one perfect exception – the rear press stud which is a celebratory spark from the silversmiths at Good Art Hlywd in .925 sterling.
Lined inside with 100% jet black linen and natural leather branded patch this is a stunning realisation of the levels 3sixteen is now reaching. A genuinely limited edition that will put the ultimate final touch to any outfit smart or casual.

Rogue Territory has delivered with a new iteration of its 16.75 oz. slub denim. These arrivals are a deep indigo, achieving their depth of colour by utilising indigo dyed threads for both the warp and weft. The resulting textured fabric has been used for their signature SK super slim cut jeans and also for RGT’s take on a type III, which includes gently rounded collars and acorn chest pockets.

Iron Heart uses the updated 142 14 Oz. denim with a double twisted weft yarn to launch a spot on iteration of the Modified Type III Trucker Jacket. A slightly lengthened body allows for the addition of side hand warmer pockets, here with tonal stitching to blend in and keep the clean lines of the piece. A perfect fit that includes all of Iron Heart's sturdy know how at a lighter weight.
The 555 super slim jeans are now available in the same 142 denim and we have also introduced this same fit in the 18 Oz. 555Sii double indigo denim.

For 5 years, our London store has become a destination for rare denim and classic casual wear of unsurpassed quality for locals and out-of-towners alike. So we’re happy to announce that in March we’ll be opening our second store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
