@Appfaff, I’m thinking about copping these and sizing down to a 34. I tried them on at self edge, and it may take me a month of wear to get used to them. That being said, it sounds like they stretch a bunch.
Hey man, I think that is the right way to do. When I bought mine I thought they would be snugger than they were, (although the chart online SE online is way off) and they stretch like crazy. It took a few weeks but then the waist and top block especially were super baggy.
I do not have the Vaters but I have the new 777 14oz. I have a soft spot for the 301 since it is a “slim cut I can life in” - meaning the loose top block (which a lot of people hate) means I can tuck in shirts, bend down and squat to get my kids, all while having a slim-ish leg.
My pair is 38 and stretches about 1.5” after every wash within a few days. I have contemplated getting the 36s as well…

You will love then JSJ - if hemmed right, you get that slim straight look a lot of people desire from the 666 cut, but with added mobility since the thigh is generous.

Hey guys, I need some help.
Looking into taking the plunge into the 8301S, I'm looking at a size 30 or 31.
Currently wear a 31 in the 301S-14, I have room in my thighs and my waist.
I also have 31 in the 633S-21 and they are much too big in the waist. Given the higher rise and what not.The rise on the 8301S size 30 allegedly 9.9", which of course there will be some variation.
In the past with my Iron Heart I tend to over compensate and order slightly too big, which has been a big deal. The 301S-14 could possibly be my favorite out of all my 5 pairs of Iron Hearts.I know they'll stretch, which is why I'm leaning to the tag size 30.
Sorry for the long winded post. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Really, really dig these.
Sizing was a bit tricky and I had to send a pair back. But it was totally worth it. The fit is awesome (for what I wanted)
After a hot hand wash, I got 1/2" of shrink out of the waist and a full 1" in the length.
This denim is great, but we all knew that already
Low rise but really comfortable top block and perfect taper. I'll fire a fit pic up this afternoon.
Also, this patch is pretty badass.

I have a pair of 8301s that fit perfect. Im wondering how the 301s compare size wise. Wondering if I can simply order the same size 301s and my 8301s?
