Great cigar right there–always enjoy smoking a Herrera Esteli.
Actually chilled with Willie Herrera at the Drew Estates BOTL cigar safari in Nicaragua '14. Big burley Cuban dude with a beard, all tatted up and he couldn't have been more friendly.
Not sure what his capacity with Drew Estates is since the Swisher buy out

It was delicious and really came into its own during the 2/3. I usually gravitate more towards broadleaf wrapped cigars, but this did not disappoint. Decently priced, I def would recommend giving the brand a shot.

My BIL is getting stationed in Nicaragua as an army attache. I’m holding out hope that I can visit some cigar factories but we’ll see how far the political climate deteriorates.

You should absolutely make the trip if it's safe to do so, esp with a quasi local connection. Super cheap airfare ($800 round trip 1st class in '14 – SEA to MIA to Managua) and your dollars go very far down there.
Most of the cigar factories are located in the Northen mountain area (Esteli) which is accessed by a slow 2.5hr bus ride. The Drew Estate's 'cigar safari' was very much worth the price of admission, but I wish I had finagled a Padron tour.Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
