Whatchu smokin? (cigar thread)
-
After a humidor nap smoked a Camacho tonight while mowing the lawn. It was ok, for all their BOLD branding it was actually pretty mild. Maybe I’m just becoming a grizzled cigar smoker. It’s rum barrel aged and I do get whiffs of it on the nose, but not in the flavor.
I smoked my favorite cigar, a CAO Black torpedo (the last of a box I bought in 2011), while hiking/camping with some friends this past weekend. My phone died after taking this shot with my friend’s dog, so none of the cigar. My son’s due in a month, so it was my last opportunity to get out in the woods with no contact.

^^^Always tough to smoke the last of a favorite.
Smoked this Tatuaje Apocalypse from 2012 over the weekend that was a real treat–even if my picture is not! Included HalfWheel's to help visualize.

Two weeks ago, @formulapfaff did me a total solid and drove 12 hours to assist my family and I with our move. We spent the last night in the old house the best way we could think:

Clearly he's one stand up dude!
Great cigar right there–always enjoy smoking a Herrera Esteli.
Actually chilled with Willie Herrera at the Drew Estates BOTL cigar safari in Nicaragua '14. Big burley Cuban dude with a beard, all tatted up and he couldn't have been more friendly.
Not sure what his capacity with Drew Estates is since the Swisher buy out

It was delicious and really came into its own during the 2/3. I usually gravitate more towards broadleaf wrapped cigars, but this did not disappoint. Decently priced, I def would recommend giving the brand a shot.

Nice. I'll keep an eye out but I've got a full humi to smoke through first.
