I'm reassured by your positive comments on the crust horsehide @Dishelveled . I placed my order for the service boots half-an-hour before reading your post. I've waited for some footwear in this leather and paired with the fact that it wasn't a 2030 last pushed me over. They'll be my first 1035.
Now my long wait begins…this is where your glowing comments will help calm my doubts. -

Thank you for the pics @Dishelveled . Hadn't seen any pics of crust horsehide with that much evolution. They look great but I think it'll take me substantially longer than two years to get to that level. I've found that comparatively to most/many here, I'm a very slow and light wearer of jeans and footwear. Go figure.

Anytime man! I'm with you on the slow evo front, but this leather is so gorgeous right out the gate that who cares, haha!
My size service boot came back to Division Road as a return and I pounced at the opportunity!

I ordered a pair of the blue shell cordovan Friday and I now think I'm finished with my Viberg kick.
On a side note, I received on Friday a pair of White's MP boots in shell cordovan in color 8. They're the best made boots I own.

My crust horsehides on their maiden voyage…these are the Division Road collab.
My first pair on the 1035 last and fit is nearly identical to the 2040 last; the 2040 being very slightly roomier around the toebox. I’m a 10 D size on both lasts.
Let’s see how quickly these darken up.

Guys , which Viberg lasts close to Alden’s Barrie and trubalance ? I’ve heard that 2040 is closest to Barrie last ? I wear half size down in Alden’s Barrie last . Should I consider same with 2040? I like little space in toe box .

I've got a pair of service boots coming in Natural Cxl with an unstructured toe. Should be here next week sometime.
Only thing im not totally sure about is the unstructured toe. First experience with that. Can't wait to see how the natural patinas though.

Just got back and got to unbox put on the natural cxl. Im definitely impressed with these! This makeup came from Brooklyn clothing.
