          So, day one of wear…

          First and foremost: BUTTONS  😢 😢 😢
My soft lil' keyboard hands were not at all prepared for this, lol!

Aside from that, I love these jeans so far. VERY comfortable. The high rise sits perfectly, and the thigh is spot on. I probably could have afforded to go down one size, but I know the break-in stretching would definitely deter me from wearing them as much. If I double back and get the IH-888-RE, I'll definitely size down.

Now… I wear, wash and wait!

          Cheers!

They look very good. I couldn't get that more relaxed way of wearing them to work for me so had to size down and hem. Looks perfect on you though.

If it ever comes up, I'll ask the amazingly dickish questions "Do ANY of you guys look more presentable than me on any given day?" and "Is wearing a t-shirt and jeans more or less professional than not wearing deodorant?"

THIS. When I used to work in IT I'd get comments about tapered trousers and Chelsea boots where as not showering was more socially acceptable!

Currently have a 33 in the 888S and looking into purchasing these… any idea if a 34 would be the best bet, or should I consider a 36? I definitely can’t afford a pair fitting tighter than my 21oz throughout the legs, so the shrink amount on these has me concerned and confused!

There is a shrink test somewhere here on this thread. I would Go with the same size as 888s if I were you. They don’t shrink as much as you would Expect.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m just concerned about the thigh dropping under 13” and the knee under 9”

@Ceeds  the thigh and knee may drop just under those measurements after the soak and wash but will stretch back too, with wear. I’d certainly recommend the 33 as they will be closest to your 888S in the long run. I suspect you’d find yourself with far too much room in the tag 34.

You could always ask IHUK to see if they have a pair of tag 33 with a slightly wider leg.

Thanks guys - I’ll most likely be doing the 33’s based on your recommendations. Appreciate it!

I am most pleased with how my jeans are evolving. This is a little over 2 months wear. I'm disqualifying myself from the DWC since I haven't been wearing my jeans or posting regular updates either. So I will just post my shots here.

The denim is still very crispy but has an ultra soft hand now- depending on humidity. The more humid the rougher they feel.  I guess this could be due to my skin. But they feel softer in cooler, dryer weather.

It's pretty cool how hairy the denim is.

@Ceeds these will stretch quite a bit. Back to the pre-soak measurement and even more. For example I am closer to a size 40 but am wearing a 38. The waist has stretched to almost a 38.75. It won't be comfortable or fun, but they will fit you perfectly after about 2 months of daily wear. Also the more snug they are, the better the evo will be in the long run.

@Filthy  Please definitely feel rougher as humidity increases. I noticed  whenever Any moisture is introduced to this denim they Stiffen right up.  I got caught in some rain the other day walking to the train station and the wetter the jeans got the harder they became for me to run in. But it’s such a beautiful denim.  it’s so well-made and the feel of it is unbelievable.
