Looks like the coke bezel ended up on the Tudor Black Bay GMT. 😉

OK, I was wrong about the Tudor GMT, it's got a Pepsi bezel. It looks black in the photo.

There's also the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, which is smaller than the original (38mm vs 41mm), and has a new in-house movement.

The wait for the Rolex Pepsi GMT is going to be astronomically long, people have been waiting for that forever. I'm tempted to get on the list for it.

My bronze Oris sixty-five is my favorite of the 5 watches I've bought in the last few months (3 sold or to be sold). The color and finition is awesome. I might get that new big crown. I have always wondered about pointer dates… It's a bit small though.

That Patek looks great in orange, but people who think they can sell a kidney and get one are overestimating their kidneys...

People are going to be exited about the smaller Black Bay I suspect.

I'm not really sure why Oris doesn't get more love and Tudor is so hot. I find the mechanism to adjust the second time zone of this watch fascinating. Hoping to get it on the wrist at some point to see how it wears

Nice new Zenith Defy non-chrono skeletonized watch on IG. It has a nice Royal Oak-ish vibe. Love the detail on the second hand…

The increased power reserve is a nice upgrade on top of the aesthetics. It's up to 70hrs now.

Damn, Doug- I like that Oris, and I don't normally like dual time zone watches.

It would be even better if they put the crown at 4, the date window at six, and gave it a solid case back.  Maybe shrink it a couple of millimeters and get it down to a more versatile 43mm or so…

Yeah, and you adjust the time zone with the bezel. Pretty neat

I really need to see this thing in person. While ~45 is huge, I get the feeling the watch would feel "constipated" with a smaller case/dial

Hmmm, turns out there's an Oris dealer across the street from the Tudor dealer, and they're both 1.2 miles from work.  May have to swing by on the way home one day and check out the Heritage Chrono and the Propilot.

I was really hoping that Zenith would launch a production version of the Defy Lab at Baselworld. There was talk of a Defy Inventor, but it's not appeared.

The Rolex GMT is ugly. I don't get it.

                                  +1.

That Jubilee (vs. Oyster) bracelet killed it for me, along with the bezel colors still that blue/purple and cranberry like on the white gold GMT.  I was thinking that the Jubilee teaser earlier this week was going to be a root beer model in SS and then the Coke would come out in SS on the Oyster.

According to the write up I found on Hodinkee, it's an ETA 2836 base with some Oris exclusive dual time zone bolt on tinkering.  I'm actually glad it's not an in house movement.

And yeah, I think the Rolex GMT is the least attractive of all their offerings…

The old model you linked to uses the ETA base, if you look at the introductory piece on Hodinkee, it runs the Oris Calibre 114.

I get where you're coming from with preferring an ETA, it's probably in many ways a better choice. But the watch nerd in me likes the romance of an in-house movement.

You don't like the GMT either? Now I can't post that in unpopular opinions. 😉

I am also disappointed with the Rolex offerings this year.  The Pepsi GMT is ok, the root beer GMT is meh, and the Daytona rainbow is a abomination.  The Seadweller Deepsea is actually not bad, but it looks too much like the previous version.

I think I’ll pass for another year.

I think that the changes for the Deepsea Sea Dweller are mainly on the movement. It's gone from the 31xx series to the (improved) 32xx.

I'm surprised that more models haven't been moved over. For example, some of the Datejusts are on the new generation movement, but the Oyster Perpetual, Milgauss, Explorers, and Submariners languish on the old ones.

Running two production lines strikes me as inefficient. Maybe Rolex have got a stack of old parts they need to run down. 🙂
