Currently watching Ash vs Evil Dead. Silly slapstick horror but I like Bruce Campbell and it is kinda funny. The wood hand kills me
@gaseousclay If you like this sort of thing (like I do), then if you haven't already seen it, see if you can find "Todd and the Book of Pure Evil" , done 2 series back in 2010. Think ash v evil dead/buffy the vamp slayer. I found it recently, not much makes me laugh out loud but some of this was hilarious.

I'll admit, I'm interested in catching a few episodes to see how it is… I recently discovered Curb (Maybe 2 months ago..... I had never even heard of it before then), and Larry David is freakin' HILARIOUS!
Seinfeld is just good fun. It’s quite dated at this point but still charming.( I’d argue that Curb is probably the better show, though.)

See I could never get into Preacher, I loved the comic book but the TV show was extremely slow imo.
I couldn’t get on with Preacher either. Mrs loved it, but not for me.
Thanks for the words of caution. As a result I lowered expectations and wasn’t as bothered as I might have been by the lull that occurs in episodes 3-5.
The start of ep.6 (battle with the seraphim) was fantastic though. Tarantino-like levels of cinematic genius. It’s frustratingly slow at times, no doubt. But when it’s good, it’s grand.

It is dated, but it's where Larry David really got his chops. It's stupid, sometimes absurdist (which I love) and has strong well played characters. George's parents, Kramer, Newman…all are absurd, but still funny. It really was a tv trailblazer in the earlier 90s and imo changed the sitcom format forever (for better or worse we'd never have had Friends without Seinfield). On top of the Jerry is a legendary stand up that most stand ups cite as massively influential.
I agree that Curb holds up better now, but for a capsule of 90s life (check out all the Nike tennis shoes!) It is darn good.

@neph93 I was a big fan of the comic book and still have a mint run of the books, archived, like the geek I am. Like most literary fans comment on cinematic adaptations, I'm not sold on the tv series really. The production values aren't quite there I don't think.

Read all the comic books myself. So far it’s one of the better adaptions for me. I find the production values satisfactory, but the story telling is a little sedate.

Larry David is every single one of the Seinfeld characters in one person. You’ll
Like it. -

^ agreed with you for once about something
the florida-man bit is priceless
the program will get the credit it deserves in another 10 years when folks catch on to all the layers, plus it's not easy to put it in a box as a comedy or drama or any of that crap
-
hahahaha
it sounds like the 2 of you got on outrageously
do you recall what the florida-man purchased in your shop?
daRius is my current favorite person on the show
