@Manticore here’s a quick pic of mine, which Have had About the same amount of use as yours.
The broken fireman’s stitch won’t affect the boots at all.. these boots are about as well made as can be.

Thanks @Boyo . Looks fairly close to mine - just a bit more separation. Will try to get a pic posted this weekend.

All of my boots have had that stitching break rather quickly… everything from Lofgrens to Role Clubs to Clinch so I don't think it's an issue at all.

I wore these to the California Custom Knife Show this past Saturday and had 4 people come over and ask me about them and where they could get a pair. Popular boots!

            Trade wanted!

I have a pair of Lofgren engineers in brown cxl in size 9.5 with the original box. I need a size 10!

If anyone has a 10 they may want to trade for 9.5s, let's talk. Message me - maybe we can work something out.

Brown would be ideal but open to other colors as well - I love these and rather than sell I want to trade for a pair that fit.

                    Hi all,

I would like to open a topic to share photos of John Lofgren boots and share experience. Please add your photos of your Lofgren's boots. I will also post some pics after some wear…
I have tried to search for such topic but didn't find any similar.

I have received my about a week ago, not yet used them outside of the house(too could right now in my location  🙂 ) Just made some initial treatment with proven brand for shoe care  ::)
here some pics of my John Lofgren Donkey puncher boots in burgundy Horween chromexel:

I'll say it again.  Beautiful boots.  Surprised we didn't already have a Lofgren thread here already as pretty much everyone I've heard from who has his boots sings their praises.

I've had a pair of the John Lofgren Champion persimmon-dyed sneakers for the last year and a bit. They've seen occasional use, perhaps 3-4 times a month on average; and I consider myself a very 'light' user of footwear. I've only used them to walk around town and drive. I like them quite a bit, find them super comfy and considering getting a second pair on the denim color. However, I'm also concerned at what I find as premature aging on these.

The taped seams are what seems to be failing the test of time on mine. See both heels (pic below).

The taped seam is also fraying between the eyelets (pic below)

I'm wondering whether anyone else has experienced the same problems. I see @Haddtoo 555 uses his often as he posts pics. Any comments? Perhaps it only happens on the persimmon ones? Are the denim ones longer-lasting?

                                The journey is the objective.

Can’t wait till mine look like that. I’m going to have to wear them more .  Unfortunately I spend most my time in work boots….That being said, I like these so much might have to get a back up pair before they become unavailable. I think I will  stop kicking them off, I have to untie all my sneakers before I put them on 😶 , maybe even use a shoe horn to put them on....nah  😉

They look well worn....I like that. Would you buy them again ? Or move on ?

Where do you guys buy JL shoes in the US?  I know of selfedge and standard and strange but any other retailers?  Speedway via rakuten (https://global.rakuten.com/en/search/?sid=speedway-shop&tl=558885)?

I'll probably wait for the IH sneakers before getting the navy pair of JLs. I'm hoping the IH ones are a bit tougher than these.

FIT CHECK: TSPTR x John Lofgren Vest

Not exactly sure if this belongs here but…

I bought this vest in both size M and L... my chest measurements are right at 41" around. The size M measures to around 44" and the L about 46"... Feel wise, the L feels a bit more comfortable to wear than the M. The M is a little snug through the waist and I feel like the length of the L is better... I can definitely feel the tightness through the waist in the M whereas the L has a little more room insiide.  That being said, I'm new-ish to wearing outerwear vests and not exactly sure how they are supposed to fit. What do you guys think? Large or medium or can't tell the difference?

                                        Pics below...

@tangfj I would go large. The M looks a little constricting in the midriff and closer fitting than it should be around the arms. The L looks great especially in the last pic and will offer more flexibility in the long run.
