A pair of jeans made of unsanforized denim which was washed once to get the shrinkage out of the fabric.

The master  beautiful_FrEaK explained already. In fact, SAMURAI I don't remember Sanforized denim. And just a few in the OW (one wаshed). Usually, pre-shrinkage is done to reduce the risk of the buyer. The basic parameters practically do not move at washing. Sometimes the shrinkage is very tough. So I bought PBJ XX-009 in which Insеаm reduced to 85 cm, and the belt-up to 78 cm. And it's in w31. These pants were seated delicately. I moved inseam another 3 cm, wetting them in very hot water. Up to 93 cm.

Nope! In my experience okayama denim have the more accurate size charts, but even then it's usually not accurate.

I usually email denimio to ask them to measure an actual pair. Their staff are very polite and helpful

At Denimio happen flaws, but in my case own measurements almost coincided with the table of the site. However, I bought them by pre-order, almost at random. The error is very small.

Just got the measurements of S511NBK from Denimio:

Size 35, One-Wash
waist flat: 88.5 cm
front rise: 28 cm
upper thigh width: 31.5 cm
inseam: 96 cm
hem: 19 cm

Size 36, One-Wash
waist flat: 91.5 cm
front rise: 28 cm
upper thigh width: 32.5 cm
inseam: 96 cm
hem: 20 cm

I would normally go with smaller waist, but the tight width might be too narrow for me, so I guess I should size up to 36. Any thoughts on how this fabric will work when used, washed, etc.?

As far as I know this is a new denim so there won't be any experience reports available. From my experience if you are worried about the thighs being too small, better play it safe and take the bigger size as thighs don't stretch out that much.

Here's my short Review. The chinos feel like denim, in fact I think they are just that - Khaki coloured slubby denim, 15 oz. I obviously love that, but they are not as "classy" as other chinos with smooth fabric. This also gives them a lot of character and fading / traintracks for example.

They are really well constructed with thick extra fabric in the buttonfly, silver selvage, doughnot buttones etc.

I went with size 36 (one wash), which is my current Samurai size. They are pretty comfy & loose in the top block (despite the waist) but taper nicely. They're not the modern day slimfit chino but in the classic workwear style somwehat like slim/ straight. The rise is decent and certainly rather a long-  then a midrise. They stretch a good amount - I guess staying true to the raw size would work but I can't swear on it as I bought them one washed.

So yes, I would buy again and stick with my size. I tried on a 35 as well but they were too tight in the waist - this is your crucial area, the thigh will be no problem.
