First and last are my favorite. Middle two work, but IMHO are not my favorite in comparison.

The first one is more modern (definitely works for you) and the last one has more of a retro vibe (also definitely works for you and your style).

Thanks for the feedback gents - I’m leaning towards these tho…

The Buckeye were too “flimsy” for me to really feel comfortable buying. And the Statesman, well... my wife said “you’d look like a fat Anderson Cooper” in them... which is entirely Accurate.

Thanks @DStauffer - the tortoise do fill a void in my collection, although my daughter did recently break my Black Dior Square frames, so I could easily slide the Black or Tortoise Folsom in

These are going out today to have my clear prescription lenses put in, but they are on another level IMO. Excited to get these into rotation…

I have an eyeglasses question, so kinda related to this thread:

The last time I did a vision test was probably 5+ yrs ago. At that time I tested at 20/15, which by all accounts is pretty good. However, last week I tried reading the serial# off an Apple adapter and I had to use a magnifying glass just to make it out. Granted, the numbers and letters were tiny but i'm starting to wonder if my eyesight is finally starting to fail me at the age of 46. I know I should get tested again soon but just curious if this is a sign of my peepers giving out on me. At what point would one have to regularly wear eye glasses? I'm pretty sure i'm farsighted so not sure if this means I wouldn't have to wear glasses.

Well, my vision has been crap for basically my entire life.  I got glasses at age six, so let me start off by saying, "screw you and your perfect eyesight." 🙂

That said, age related presbyopia typically begins in the early to mid forties, so you're right on track to start noticing difficulty with near vision.  It's generally not much of an issue, you just get non-prescription reading glasses for when you need to see things up close, and they're available basically everywhere for cheap.  You don't typically need to wear them for anything else.

You really should get an eye exam, though, just to confirm that there are no other issues affecting your eyes.  Changes in eyesight are sometimes an early warning sign for other health conditions, so it's a good idea to get regular checkups (but you already knew that, I'm sure).

@gaseousclay what @Chris said is what you're running into.

Presbyopia is a form of long-sightedness that develops from the mid-forties. The lens in the eye becomes less capable of accommodating focus at different distances, and you're losing near vision as a result. It'll probably worsen over time, but I don't know how bad it'll get.

Look on the bright side, those of us who're short-sighted will need bifocal or multifocal glasses to cope!

There aren't (as far as I'm aware) any perfect fixes for it. The grail approach would be to replace the lens in the eye with an artificial lens that could accommodate different focal lengths. There are some of these on the market, but I don't know how satisfactory they are.

You guys are right about needing to get tested. I do actually own a pair of cheater glasses for reading but haven't used them since my son was born because I simply haven't had the time. I also noticed that I have a bump on the whites of each eye. I think I recall the eye doctor telling me it was from UV damage last time I went. I wear sunglasses but not as often as I should

You will probably need glasses for reading. 😞  You may luck out and not have to wear them full time. My distance vision whatever it's called, has improved with age as my closeup vision has deteriorated.  ::) Go figure.
