Here you go I fixed it to make it more noticable..

Yes, this is the norm on a high quality denim, and you should see it in the 634S denim too (it only occurs on one side of the fabric and it is nornally on the right hand side of the fabric as you look at it coming off the loom) .  It is where the shuttle changes occur in the weaving process and is the sign of a good denim.  On lower grade denim the shuttle changes simply occur where they occur, even if it is the middle of the denim and there is thus a weakness in the denim.

It is more wasteful of yarn and thus more costly to switch weft in this way, but the result is a stronger denim.

Obviously the heavier the yarn, the shorter the length of yarn that can fit on a shuttle,  the more shuttle changes thus the higher the frequency of these weft tufts

Thanks for the reply Giles. However after checking again, I am sure it is not present on my 634S.

Geo, No,  AFTRMATH now understands what the tufts are, but is saying that he can't find/see them on his 634S, that is what I  was saying was strange…..

Has anyone who sized up one had any problems with the waist stretching out too much?  I am thinking about going with Beatle Busters instead of 634's however I am slightly concerned with thigh measurements so I am leaning towards sizing up one.  This presents another concern about the waist stretching too much.  My true waist is 30 inches.  I am debating TTS or 31.  Advice?

If your alternative is 634s, I'd say go with a 31.
