IHSH-189-BRN - 17oz Duck CPO Work Shirt - "The UnTucked" - Brown
-
Worn over my 76…
I was gonna do a Duxedo, but decided to do a CPO double-up.
I won't go on and on about all of the expected construction details... It's a given. I will say that I think many people will like this CPO, because the workshirt cut will really lend itself to comfortable layering with denim shirts, and UHF's.
It is a bit billowy on me right now, but nothing that a machine wash won't fit.

You guys are brave. There's no way I could pull off The Duxedo without feeling like a walking sweet potato

Duxedo the second. It wasn't intended, those were just the pants I was wearing today (mtn khakis).
First is xl, second is xxl. Both over UHF, which is how I plan to wear it. I'm xl in most shirts, but the chest is always the limiting factor. I'm going with the xxl, even though it's a tad long in the arms. My mobility is better and I can keep the second (scratch that: third) snap together comfortably when moving around. Plus, it might shrink up a tad and the xl would get uncomfortable any smaller. If I was going for more of a shirt fit, I'd probably go xl. Posting here to help others decide.

Oh and when taking this thing off the uhf felt positively airy. The construction is as expected, but still never fails to inspire awe.

I would vote xl. Still looks comfy. Congrats whatever you decide. Looking good.

I would also vote for 1. Looks to me like even that one could take a bit of shrink without getting tight.
Looking good either way. -
Thanks for the replies, and I know it looks roomy enough in the photo but the chest is just too restrictive on the XL.
Did a hot wash and dry on the XXL today, measurements before -> after below:
P2P: 23.75 -> 23.6"
Opening: 23.75 -> 23.75"
Length: 31.5 -> 31"
Shoulders: 20.5 -> 20"
Arm length: 27 -> 26.25"So…exactly what I was looking for, it's spot on perfect now. Lost the excess length in the arms (aided by the small shoulder shrink) which was my major complaint about the XXL. The loss in body length still leaves it plenty long. Chest didn't really budge, which is great. I also didn't measure sleeve width before or after, but that was also an area where the XL was a bit restrictive and there's no perceptible difference there either, which is also great.
So I'd say: if you're waffling between sizes and think you want to wear this over shirts, there's a half size of shrink available with a hot wash and dry. I wouldn't worry about the shrink with a cold wash and gentle dry, though, I was as aggressive as possible with this one.
