Luggage Bags and Packs

In others news, my Bexar Hudson is going on three years now and keeps getting better with age.

@Graeme I'm disappointed that the store is closing. I'm guessing too high a rent and overhead for a niche market. I'm not familiar with the Thisispaper line but it looks top notch. I know you don't buy much without doing your research so I'm sure it's good gear. I think I would have been tempted by a Pequod, especially at a discount but my bag collection is getting/ has gotten too big already. Will you get one if the Bedouin goes on discount?
This week I added a new pack from Hobo Japan x Arai Tent in celspun nylon. The feel and feel are somewhat Topo but the mats and construction feel much higher-end. The color and depth of the nylon is pretty cool, I'll try to get some pics up soon.

@Anesthetist I agree that it's a shame the store is closing. I was chatting to one of the girls who works there, and she thought that there were certainly things they could have done differently. I was surprised that they hadn't run it online too, especially since that's something that Bellroy (who're Carryology's parent company) do well.
The Pequod was tempting, and I very nearly bought one as it was half price. The problem is that the top of the bag sits just above the shoulders, as can be seen on this mannequin.
If you look at the riding position on the Thruxton R, you can see that the head is up. The back of the helmet would catch on the top of the pack, which makes it less useful on the bike. The Ottoman, which is a similar size, would be better.
The Thisispaper bag was actually a bit of an impulse buy. I'd been thinking of a Topo Designs Stack Pack or Rover Pack, as I wanted something of about that size.
The Hobo pack sounds cool. I think that you've got a bag problem to go with your wallet addiction.

Another successful raid on the Carryology Store during it's absolutely final weekend. (I thought that was last week.)
A Bedouin Foundry Pequod that I'm proxying. Maybe.
The least macho, and therefore coolest, GoRuck ever. A Kid Ruck in pink. I picked this up for my brother's daughter, but I suspect that my sister will like it.
And a Tanner Goods Scout Wallet. My father was making noises about needing a new one a while back, and he'll hopefully appreciate this.

Nice buys, I still cant believe any of those bags were still there.

Is that a sling bag or a small messenger? @rocket
Here is my "Cave" bag from Hobo Japan x ARAI-TENT. I've been reading about Hobo for a while but they seem pretty uncommon outside of Japan. I saw that Haven in Vancouver does carry a variety of their stuff and might eventually get another.
This bag has three large, thick leather lash tabs and three compartments with heavy YKK zips. The small compartment on the bottom collapses when empty but is large enough to hold my ultralight camp chair.
The fabric is "celspun" nylon which has a lot of texture and sheen.
The straps are a little snug near the top at the attachment point but it's not uncomfortable. I think it might be for someone with a large frame.Size reference

Looks great. Especially for the price. Lots of decent carry brands coming out of Korea these days, seen a few awesome ones over recent months.

Noticed that as well, waist / fanny bags are extremely popular over there. I bought a bunch of Made in USA Gregory fanny bags some time ago and sold them all to Korea, Indonesia, etc…
@Jordan23 picked it up in a local TK Maxx, was the only one I could find there, I had a look ;), but worth a try in your local one(s)

Nice @cole. I have the same bag and it's super nice but is also pretty heavy even empty.

Yes, it is heavy. I have the feeling that this backpack weights as much empty as the backpack of my wife fully loaded. But in its defence I must say even when it is loaded it never feels heavy when worn. On the other hand I have to admit I never made any long hikes with it.
@DougNg
Yup, the TAD fast pack litespeed.
