I have been to Thailand many times but never have i managed to wear a pair of heavy jeans for longer than about a hour. I don't know how these guys do it!

One can get used to it. I had trouble wearing 14 oz denim in summer a while ago but ended up wearing 25 ozers and UHRs during the last summer heat without any problems. It's definitely doable in my opinion.
