… not sure on my colour schemes though.

Colours are fine maybe adjust the opacity to soften the boldness.

No worries guys! if you see a way of making it better let me know. We're going to try and collate all this info into an easily accessible format too.

On the 634 vs 1955, you have the waists at the same level. It's really the crotches that should be at the same level, with the 1955's rise higher than the 634's.

@JDelage I've got the waistband level on all them… or at least i should have. I choose to do it that way because it looked more uniform and you can still see the rise is higher or lower by the way the crotches don't line up.

I'll have a play and line up the crotches @Lindsey  😶 and see how it looks.

          Cheers for the feedback!

Understood but for a given person, wearing two different cuts, the crotch will remain at the same spot (along with thighs, knees, etc) whereas the pant's waist will sit more or less high.

We're thinking of doing a similar grid system. Thanks for sharing that though!

We do  ;).  We do it the way the Japanese manufacturers traditionally do it, that way when I spec measurements for a shirt or other top there is zero room for error….

Smarty pants… Let me rephrase that: not a big thing, but I would like it better if the tops' shoulder measurements on the website were given the traditional Western way, straight across the upper back, shoulder seam to seam.

I know what you meant. But better for who?  To change the way we do it would mean keeping 2 sets of measurements for every top, and changing every measurement we have ever done and trying to find all references out in the wild and updating them.  Plus we don't have access to much of the extinct stuff to re-measure.

So it aint happening. Not now, not never….

I posted this in the wrong thread before:

I've noticed that on my 3 new shirts the sleeve openings are pretty big. Maybe include a 2nd button or male snap for a smaller fit?

Giles do you have any extra big copper snaps that I can buy a few to add this extra snap to my new denim shirt?

Thanks Giles. I was gonna say I'd get some with the new black thermal. But you're sold out of 2xl. Oh well. I do need some snaps for that shirt I got. I'd definitely prefer smaller cuff openings.

I agree. They are the best buttons I've ever come across. A matte black version would also be nice on shirts like the cookie monster work shirt.

I would enjoy a product category (like New Stuff, Bottoms, Shirting,…) called "IH Classics" where you group essentials like the IH-634s, IH-526J, IHSH-13-ind, IHSH-33,...

Like that newbies would understand better how to start the addiction - and for us it would be an interesting conversation what those "classics" might be  😉
